As we usher in the new year, Cypherium is thrilled to announce the completion of its most significant upgrade to date. This upgrade introduces substantial changes to the data structure and algorithms. To ensure a smooth and secure transition, we are inviting our community to swap their CPH coins to the new mainnet. Post-swap, your CPH coins will be compatible with any Ethereum-compatible wallet, such as MetaMask.

**Warning:** It is crucial to follow these instructions carefully. Failure to do so may result in the permanent loss of your coins.

**Step One: Retrieve Your Old CPH Wallet’s Private Key**

Should your app display a blank screen, simply move the app to the background and revisit it after two to three minutes. This should restore your screen’s visibility.

**Step Two: Create an Ethereum-Compatible Wallet**

You may use any third-party wallet, like MetaMask, to receive your CPH coins. Here is the necessary information to connect MetaMask to the new mainnet:

  • Network Name: Cypherium Mainnet
  • - RPC URL: https://pubnodes.cypherium.io/rpc
  • - Chain ID: 16166
  • - Symbol: CPH

**Step Three: Complete the Swap**

Visit `https://chainswap.cypherium.io/`, and enter your old wallet’s private key along with your new wallet’s address. Click “GET SWAP CPH!” to receive CPH coins in your new wallet.

**Please Note:** Your new wallet address must start with “0x”, similar to other Ethereum addresses. You have only one opportunity to perform this swap. Upon completion, your old CPH wallet will be permanently deleted from our database. Entering an incorrect address will result in the irreversible loss of your coins.

**Why We Verify Your Private Key:**

  1. To ensure your coins are secured and accessible only by you. Since all blockchain transactions are public, verifying ownership through the private key is essential.
  2. To prevent errors. With the private key consisting of 128 digits and the wallet address containing 42 characters, it’s easy to confuse the old and new addresses. This verification step adds an extra layer of security.

We do not store your private key, and the old wallet will cease to function post-swap.
